This range is practical when you want to precisely fit the textile to a small table, a console, a family table, or a longer sideboard. Several colors are offered, notably brown, green, apricot, and white, which allows you to keep the same format while changing the ambiance.

Brown is particularly attractive on a wooden table, as it creates a warm continuity without completely masking the material of the tabletop. It also works very well with white, ecru, green, terracotta, or gold-colored metal. For a balanced table, use brown as a base and add a light shade as well as an accent color.

40 cm wide: check your table's depth

A width of 40 cm provides more presence than a very thin runner. Before ordering, place two plates face to face and measure the free space between them. If you have about 40 cm, the runner will remain in the center without hindering service. On a narrower table, it may slightly pass under the plates; in this case, keep the centerpiece decoration low-volume.

On a console or a sideboard, this width offers a base wide enough to accommodate several objects or dishes while leaving part of the furniture visible on each side.

Lengths from 100 to 300 cm to adjust the overhang

The proposed lengths include 100, 120, 140, 150, 160, 180, 200, 220, 240, 250, 260, 270, 280, 290, and 300 cm depending on the color. This progression allows for finer selection than with only three or four standard sizes.

To calculate a regular overhang, subtract the table length from the runner length and then divide the result by two. On a 180 cm table, a 220 cm format will provide about 20 cm on each side. On a 240 cm table, a 300 cm model will provide about 30 cm at each end.

100 to 160 cm

For small tables, consoles, and compact setups.

180 to 240 cm

For most family tables and moderate overhangs.

250 to 300 cm

For large tables, sideboards, and longer presentations.

How to create a warm palette around brown?

Pair brown with off-white or beige to maintain brightness. Sage green or deep green reinforces a natural inspiration. Terracotta, apricot, and rust create a more autumnal palette. For a more contemporary contrast, introduce black in small touches via cutlery, candlesticks, or accessories.

The secret is not to multiply strong colors. Prefer several small vases, candles, or spaced objects to a single very large bouquet. This arrangement complements the length of the textile and facilitates conversation between guests.

On a sideboard, space out the dishes to let the runner appear between them. It can then serve as a visual guide across the entire surface.

With or without a tablecloth?

Directly on wood, brown creates a particularly warm tone-on-tone effect. On a white or ivory tablecloth, the contrast becomes sharper and the table looks more dressed up.
