Corduroy cushion cover: eight colors and three sizes to play with fine ribs

The Corduroy cushion cover features a regular relief of fine lines and a palette of eight shades: sage green, rust, off-white, cream, white, beige, yellow, and khaki. The surface remains solid, but the ribs create small shadows that give more depth to each color and allow you to build a composition without adding a busy pattern.

Three sizes are offered: 30 × 50, 45 × 45, and 50 × 50 cm. The rectangle works well in the foreground, the 45 cm square remains versatile, and the 50 cm offers more volume. Each variant corresponds to a cover only; the inner cushion is not included.

Ribs can replace a pattern

In a neutral palette, texture is enough to create rhythm. Pair it with a smooth surface or a stronger print to maintain a clear balance between the different cushions.

How to use a Corduroy cushion cover on a sofa?

Sage green and khaki create a natural atmosphere with wood and plants. Rust immediately warms up a beige or gray seat. Yellow brings light, while white, cream, off-white, and beige provide bases that are easy to combine with almost any palette.

The 50 × 50 cm can form the background on a deep seat. The 45 × 45 cm can be used alone or in front of a larger square. The 30 × 50 cm rectangle naturally finishes the composition in the center and highlights the width of the sofa or bed.

How to mix multiple colors?

For a natural monochrome look, combine cream, beige, and khaki. For a warmer atmosphere, pair rust, off-white, and yellow. Sage green can serve as a transition between neutral tones and botanical decor. Ideally, keep one dominant color, then use one or two shades as accents.

Earth and sage sofa

Place a rust square at the back, a sage green one in front, and a cream rectangle in the center to create three balanced levels.

Bright bedroom

Combine off-white, beige, and yellow with unbleached linen to introduce warmth while keeping a light base.

Natural armchair

A single khaki or sage green square is enough on a wooden or rattan chair, or one with beige fabric.

30 × 50, 45 × 45, or 50 × 50 cm: which size to choose?

The 30 × 50 cm rectangle is particularly suitable for armchairs, small benches, and foregrounds. The 45 × 45 cm remains easy to integrate into most sofas. The 50 × 50 cm brings more presence and allows the relief to be better seen on a large seat or bed.

Always measure the inner cushion flat, seam to seam. An undersized filler leaves the corners empty and reduces the sharpness of the ribs. A model that is too bulky may excessively stretch the cover and strain the zipper.

Not all eight types are available in the same way at all times

Simply check the color and size visible in the selector at the time of ordering. The type defines the shade, then the second choice determines the size.

How to highlight the ribs?

Side lighting reveals the small shadows formed by the relief better. After installation, gently run your hand in the direction of the lines to harmonize the appearance. Avoid consistently compressing the cushion behind a heavy model that would hide the texture.

On a sofa, vertical ribs give an impression of height, while the 30 × 50 cm rectangle emphasizes horizontality. Bringing both silhouettes together therefore creates a subtle visual rhythm even if the colors remain close.

Care for the Corduroy cushion cover

Remove the filler and follow the label of the product received for washing, drying, and potential ironing. Avoid hard brushes, aggressive rubbing, and products that are not recommended for the surface.

After cleaning, let the cover dry completely, then gently put the ribs back in the same direction with your hand. For storage, do not compress it for a long time under a heavy stack to limit marks on the relief.

Combining corduroy, smooth velvet, and matte materials

To create a tactile composition, combine this series with a Velvet cushion cover or a Linen cushion cover. The surface differences add relief even with similar colors. Find all alternatives in the Cushion cover collection.
