Communion table runner: fringes, five colors, and six lengths

The communion table runner comes in a fixed width of 33 cm, with fringed ends and six lengths: 120, 160, 183, 228, 275, and 305 cm. Five colors allow you to adapt the decoration to the desired ambiance: cream, taupe, blue-grey, green, and pink. This range is suitable for a small family table as well as a long reception table or buffet.

For a communion, soft tones are often easier to pair with flowers, candles, and tableware. Cream creates a bright base; taupe remains warm and neutral; blue-grey adds a fresh note; green works well in a botanical setting; and pink offers a more tender atmosphere. There is no need to match everything: two main colors are generally sufficient.

33 cm wide with fringes: consider the table ends

The 33 cm width generally leaves enough space for cutlery while creating a visible central axis. Place two plates face to face and check the remaining space between them. Fringes add texture to the ends: if you choose to have an overhang, provide enough length so that they remain free and are not trapped under an object.

On a buffet, the fringes can be left visible at the ends of the furniture, while on a dining table they can also remain entirely on the tabletop for a more compact setup.

120 to 183 cm

For small tables, consoles, and intimate gatherings.

228 cm

A practical intermediate size for many family tables.

275 to 305 cm

For long tables, buffets, or more generous overhangs.

How to choose the length for your reception?

Measure the table before ordering. If your tabletop is 180 cm, a 228 cm model will give an overhang of about 24 cm on each side. On a 220 cm table, a 275 cm size will give about 27.5 cm per end. For a large 245 cm table, the 305 cm will provide about 30 cm on each side.

The communion table runner does not need to hang over. On a table where chairs are close to the ends or on a busy buffet, placement entirely on the tabletop can be more practical.

How to create a soft and cohesive decoration?

With cream or taupe, add light wood, white flowers, and clear glass. Blue-grey goes well with white, subtle silver, and light ceramics. Green can be extended with eucalyptus or small branches, while pink works with ivory, beige, and very light touches of gold.

To avoid a cluttered look, choose one type of vase and repeat it at regular intervals. Low bouquets or small arrangements allow guests to see each other and keep the runner visible.

Dining table, head table, or buffet: three different uses

On a dining table, keep enough space for dishes and carafes. On a head table, the textile can serve as a base for a bouquet, a guest book, or a small symbolic decoration. On a buffet, space out the dishes to let the runner show between the displays.

The fringes already provide a decorative finish. Therefore, avoid adding too many ribbons or fringed textiles around it: simple tableware and a few natural elements are enough.

Complete the ceremony decoration

To compare other ceremony themes, discover the Christening table runner and the Wedding table runner. The Table runner collection allows you to compare widths and lengths according to your room.

A plain Tablecloth can serve as a base, while understated placemats help structure each place setting.

Care instructions

To care for the communion table runner, follow the instructions on its label. Handle the fringes with care and avoid pulling on a loose thread. In case of a stain, quickly remove any excess and then dab gently rather than rubbing hard.

Let the textile dry completely before storing. Long lengths can be rolled to limit creases and avoid crushing the fringes.
