Baby bath towel: square hooded cape with animal design
The baby bath towel has a square shape with a hood decorated with an animal face. A grey bear, blue elephant, pink rabbit, ecru bear, or orange cat allows you to choose a recognizable character. Each variation contains a polyester piece.
The hood is the main difference from a classic rectangular towel: it goes on the head while the square surrounds the body. This enveloping construction allows you to prepare for bath time by opening the cape flat before placing the child in it.
- Enveloping construction: square with a corner transformed into a hood.
- Five characters: bear, elephant, rabbit, or cat depending on the color.
- A cape: a piece ready to be opened after the bath.
- Polyester: material indicated for all five models.
Keep the face clear
An adult assists with every step, placing the hood without covering the eyes, nose, or mouth, and removes the cape as soon as drying is complete. This keeps bath time comfortable and calm.
Choosing an animal as a familiar landmark
Grey gives the bear a understated appearance, blue identifies the elephant, pink accompanies the rabbit, ecru softens the second bear, and orange makes the cat very visible. In shared storage, these silhouettes differentiate items without the need for an additional label.
Hood visible on a hook
Hang the square so that the character remains facing outwards, away from any heat source.
Identified individual basket
Fold the body under the hood then place the model in an open basket bearing the same color as a marker.
Prepare the cape before the bath
Unfold it completely and place it within reach of the adult, away from water. This avoids having to search for the hood opening when taking the child out.
Unfold the cape before exiting the bath
The square shape unfolds around the body while the hood keeps the character visible above the head. Before the bath, fully open the cape on a clean surface and check the chosen variant to prepare the necessary space.
| Model | Dominant color | Distinctive element |
|---|---|---|
| Grey bear | Grey | Bear face on the hood |
| Elephant | Blue | Elephant design |
| Rabbit | Pink | Rabbit face |
| Ecru bear | Ecru | Second bear palette |
| Cat | Orange | Feline design |
Care for the hood and square together
Read the label to choose the appropriate washing and drying. Before the cycle, close nearby accessories that might snag the design, then unfold the hood after care. Store the cape only when it is completely dry.
Make a fold that keeps the animal recognizable
Bring the sides of the square behind the hood instead of covering it. The model remains easy to identify in the wardrobe.
Before each use, quickly inspect the hood and seams, then prepare a clear surface for after-bath. The square shape can then open wide and remain accessible. This organization allows the adult to keep their hands free and limit handling around water.
When multiple characters are present in the house, store each cape in a separate compartment. The hood facing forward immediately shows the bear, elephant, rabbit, or cat. The child recognizes their model, while the adult maintains a clear view of the number of clean items.
Before placing the hood, ensure the child's face remains completely clear and that the square slides freely around the body. Remove the cape as soon as drying is complete. The animal decoration then provides a playful landmark for this shared moment.
To display it in the bathroom, fold the square under the hood and leave the animal face facing forward. The model thus becomes a familiar and decorative landmark.Parents' questions about this cape
